Kingery Sees Progress In Younger Players After Tough Loss To LA

During the closing innings of Saturday’s loss to Livingston Academy, Clay County Softball Coach Crystal Kingery gave her younger players a measure of tough love.

Her message was simple: she didn’t take her seniors out, players that only had two more games on their home field at that point, just so the others could be on the field just to stand there. Kingery expanded on that, saying she hopes it brings a realization to the players that the high school game is more competitive than where they’d previously played.
