It was a night to remember for Upperman’s Reagan Hurst, as she scored her 1,000th career point in a 58-50 win over York Institute.
Hurst had every aspect of her game working on Friday, as she led all scorers with 28 points in the win.
Brooklyn Crouch added 17 points for the Lady Bees.
The game got off to a good start for York, as they led 21-17 at the end of one, and 38-34 at half.
The third quarter was an offensive struggle however, as York only managed to put four points on the board and Upperman grabbed a 45-42 lead heading into the fourth. After out-scoring the Dragonettes 13-8 in the final frame, the Lady Bees walked away with 58-50 victory.
For York, Ellie Leffew led the Dragonettes with 18 points. Gabby Beaty added 12.
Upperman will hit the road to take on Alcoa on Saturday, while York will be off until Dec. 17 when they will play Cumberland County.
