It was quite the week at the plate for Upperman Senior Reagan Hurst.

In six games, Hurst hit for a .737 average with 14 runs driven in. This all added up to a 6-0 week for the Lady Bees, as they defeated Cumberland County (twice), Watertown, Livingston Academy, York Institute and Stone Memorial.

She also led the First Bank First Team.

First Bank First Team

Jayden Davis (Cookeville): Davis continued his excellent season thus far, as he hit a home run and drove in four total runs against Livingston Academy on Friday. He had two more hits and drove in another run against Clinton the night before.

Madison Hollis (Warren County): Hollis was excellent in the circle and at the dish in the Lady Pioneers’ 19-2 win over Cookeville. She allowed only two runs in five innings, and smacked a two-run home run to lead the offensive charge.

Jase Brantley (Warren County): Staying in McMinnville, Brantley found his rhythm at the plate in three of the Pioneers’ wins over Stone Memorial, DeKalb County and Gallatin. Brantley had mutiple hits and drove in at least two runs in each outing.

Madison Houghton (White County): Houghton’s recent performance at the plate does a lot for the Warriorettes in making the lineup deeper. She had three hits in the team’s 10-5 win over Cookeville, a game in which she also drove in two runs. Houghton also drove in three runs with a double against Rhea County.

Eli Huddleston (Upperman): Huddleston continued his dominant work on the mound in a 7-1 win over DeKalb County. He pitched all seven innings of the win, striking out 12 batters in the process.

Addie Brown (Livingston Academy): Brown powered the Lady Cat offense with five RBIs in a 23-2 win over Smith County. She also drove in two runs in an 11-0 win over the Lady Owls the night before.

Adam Simmons (Van Buren): Simmons enjoyed a good week at the plate, as he smacked a three-run home run against Whitwell on Monday. The next night, he had three hits (two triples) and drove in six runs in a 10-5 win over the same team.
