Huge Second Quarter Pushes Pickett Co Past Bulldogs

A 25 point second quarter lifted the Pickett County Lady Bobcats past Clay County, by a final score of 52 to 28 Friday night in Byrdstown.

Five different players score for Pickett County throughout that 25 point outburst in the second period.

Pickett County’s Carol Ann Stockton scored a game high 17 points. 10 of those points came in the second quarter. Kyndal Ludick scored 10 points for the Lady Bobcats.

Pickett County converted on 16 of their 23 free throw attempts and hit four shots from downtown.

Katie Arms led Clay County in points with 10. The Lady Bulldogs were seven of 12 from the free throw stripe and they only hit one three pointer for the game.

Clay County will host Red Boiling Springs next Tuesday while Pickett County welcomes the Blue Devils of Jackson County to Byrdstown.
