Highlights: Upperman Defeats DeKalb Co. in 2nd Round of Playoffs

On Friday night, the Upperman Bees eliminated the DeKalb County Tigers from the 2021 TSSAA State Football Playoffs by a score of 40-14.

Within the first half, the Bees had already scored three touchdowns, while holding the Tigers to six first half points. The Bees’ defense allowed only two touchdowns in the game, and were resposible for multiple turnovers including a fumble recovery.

After the second round victory, Upperman advances to the quarterfinals and will travel next week to Chattanooga to take on the Red Bank Lions. Both Upperman and Red Bank are #1 seeds in their respective regions.
