Highlights: Clay County Defeats Sale Creek to Advance in State Playoffs
The Clay County Bulldogs opened their offseason Friday night by hosting the Sale Creek Panthers. The Bulldogs took care of business, putting a 55-16 beatdown on the Panthers to earn their spot in the second round of the playoffs.
Within the first half, the Bulldogs had already scored six touchdowns, while holding the Panthers to eight first half points. The Bulldogs’ defense allowed only two touchdowns in the game, and were resposible for multiple turnovers including a fumble recovery and two interceptions.
Next week, 10-1 Clay County will travel to South Pittsburg to take on the 7-2 Pirates.
