Golf: Wildcat’s Grubbs Qualifies For State Again

For the fourth time in her high school career senior Monterey Wildcat golfer Hunter Grubbs qualified for the state tournament at Willowbrook Country Club in Manchester.

Grubbs tallied an 80 on Thursday afternoon in the region tournament at the Golden Eagle Country Club in Cookeville.  Her 80 placed her with the third lowest score of the day for the girls.

Gordonsville’s Sophie Linder shot a 64 and Upperman’s Juliann Johnson carded a 76.

Both Grubbs and Johnson will compete in the state tournament on October 8th and 9th.
