Golf: Region Tournament Postponed To Tuesday

The Large Class Boys and Girls region tournament at the Golden Eagle Country Club has been postponed until Tuesday at 9 A.M.

Both boys and girls teams for Cookeville will compete Tuesday for a bid to the state tournament. The boys competing for a state title shot are Luke Caldwell, Ethan Vanstratum, Seth Clayton, Joseph Agee, and Jakob Smith. On the girls  are Daniella Pryor, Hope Homar, and  Savannah Pearson.

The White County boys golf team also advanced to region play. Their boys golfers who look to make a run to state are Jarrett Glass, Tyson Welch, Kenton Crockett, Jeremiah Gardehire, and Parker Whited.

Individual golfers from Cumberland County, Stone Memorial, and Warren County all advanced to region play. The Jets Jaxon Reed, Stones Brady Brewer, and Warrens Peyton Haston, and Colton Krech look to compete for an individual run to state.

On the girls side, DeKalb County’s Anna Chew advanced to the region on the individual side of the tournament.
