Game Gets Away From Lady Pioneers In Second Half

The Lady Pioneers of Warren County trailed by one at halftime against Rhea County Tuesday night, but gave up 57 second half points on their way to a 70 to 37 loss.

Each team struggled to put the ball in the basket throughout the first half as Rhea County held a 13 to 12 halftime lead.

Rhea County exploded for 22 third quarter points and 35 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Lady Pioneers.

Shelby Smart led Warren County in scoring with 13 points. Smart hit all five of her free throw attempts.

The loss drops Warren County to 2-18 and 0-3 in district play. Warren County will play at Cookeville this Friday night at 6 P.M.
