Friday Night Girls Hoops Recap: Sells, Stowers Shine For Lady Buffaloes Vs. Trousdale

Clarkrange 82, Trousdale County 29

The Lady Buffaloes cruised to a victory on Friday in their 53-point win over Trousdale County.

Kacey Sells led all scorers with 15 points, while Addie Stowers added 11. Kassie Monday scored 12 points, and Kaylie Monday contributed 10.

The Lady Buffaloes took a 52-11 lead into the halftime locker room, allowing them to play more players in the second half.

Clarkrange will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Gordonsville.

Clay County 54, Pickett County 47

The Lady Bulldogs picked up a solid district win over rival Pickett County on Friday by a final score of 54-47.

Clay Senior Katie Arms led the way with 18 points, while Freshman Bella Ashlock added 13 points and seven rebounds.

Senior Kyndal Ludick led the Lady Bobcats with 13 points.

Clay has a quick turnaround, as they take on Trousdale County on Saturday. Pickett County will travel to Jackson County on Tuesday.

Stone Memorial 40, Cumberland County 31

Tessa Miller led all scorers with 16 points in the Lady Panthers’ 40-31 win over Cumberland County.

Both teams struggled offensively in the first half, as Stone took a 14-12 lead into the locker room. The difference in the game proved to be the fourth quarter, where the Lady Jets were outscored by a 13-6 margin.

Nerissa Scarbrough led Cumberland County with 12 points.

Stone will take on Rhea County on Tuesday, while Cumberland County will face Grundy County.

Upperman 75, Watertown 30

The Lady Bees took down district foe Watertown on Friday by a 75-30 margin.

Aiyana Levy led all scorers with 19 points, and added three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Brooklyn Crouch and Reagan Hurst each added 15 points, while Torie Brooks scored 10 points.

Upperman will take on Smith County on Saturday.

DeKalb County 54, Cannon County 43

Kadee Ferrell scored her 1,000th career point on Friday in the Lady Tigers’ 11-point win over Cannon County.

Ella Van Vranken added 11 to aid Ferrell’s game-high 27 points.

The Lady Tiger defense was on full display in the second quarter, as they held Cannon to only three points.

DeKalb will take on Sequatchie County on Saturday.

York Institute 60, Smith County 36

The York Dragonettes earned a district victory on Friday with their 60-36 win over Smith County.

York jumped out to an early 13-7 lead, and took a 35-17 lead into the break. They held the Lady Owls to just five points in the fourth quarter to cruise to the victory.

Gabby Beaty led all scorers with 20 points, while Ellie Leffew added 19 points.

York will host Macon County on Tuesday.

Red Boiling Springs 46, Jackson County 32

The Jackson County Lady Devils took a tough loss on Friday to Red Boiling Springs by a final score of 46-32.

Offensive struggles in the second half saw Jackson County score a mere 12 points in the third and fourth quarters.

Jacklyn Agee led the Lady Devils with 13 points.

Jackson County will host Pickett County on Tuesday.

Coffee County 52, White County 43
