White County 71, Cookeville 63
Grant Slatten scored 43 points to lead the White County Warriors to a win over Cookeville on Friday.
A one-point game heading into the fourth, the Warriors outscored the Cavaliers 17-10 in the final frame to seal the victory.
Tanner Paul added a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double in the win.
White County will take on Cumberland County on Tuesday, while Cookeville will face Stone Memorial.
Clay County 67, Gordonsville 44
The Bulldogs remained undefeated in district play with a dominant win over Gordonsville by a final score of 67-44.
Trailing by one after the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Gordonsville in the second by a 21-6 to take a 37-23 lead into half. Clay County then won the second half by a 30-21 margin to take home the win.
Grant Strong led the way with 27 points, while Jeff Spivey added 11 points. Eli Smith scored 10 points.
Clay County will take on Whitwell on Monday.
DeKalb County 64, Macon County 62 (OT)
The DeKalb County Tigers got back to their winning ways on Friday with an overtime win over Macon County.
Evan Jones put together his best game of the season with 28 points to lead the Tigers to the win.
After finishing the fourth quarter tied at 57, DeKalb County outscored Macon 7-5 to finish the victory.
DeKalb County will take on Sequatchie County on Saturday.
Warren County 45, Stone Memorial 38
The Warren County Pioneers survived an off-night shooting the ball to take home a 45-38 win over Stone Memorial.
The Pioneers took a 15-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, though Stone battled back to cut the led down to 25-20 at the end of the first half.
Warren County then outscored Stone 20-18 in the second half to earn the win.
Dee Spates led all with 17 points, while Aiden Cummings added 12.
Chris Coudriet led Stone with 11 points.
Stone Memorial will face White County on Tuesday, while Warren will take on Franklin County on Saturday.
Pickett County 72, Monterey 55
The Pickett County Bobcats defeated Monterey on Friday in district action by a final score of 72-55.
Cayden Jones led the Wildcats with 23 points, while Tucker Phillips scored 14.
Zach Amonett paced Pickett with 22 points, and was followed close behind by Hunter Wattenbarger’s 21.
Monterey takes on Van Buren on Saturday, while Pickett County faces Clarkrange on Tuesday.
Upperman 67, Cannon County 42
The Upperman Bees won their eighth consecutive game on Friday over Cannon County by a final score of 67-42.
Jaxon Fox was the star of the show, as he knocked down nine threes en route to scoring a game-high 27 points.
Alex Rush added a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Collin Gore scored 11 points.
The Bees will take on Macon County on Tuesday.
Kingston 76, York Institute 60
The Dragons battled Kingston in a game they picked up just a couple days ago, and York fell by a final score of 76-60.
Freshman Bryson Bilbrey followed up his 15-point outing against Macon County on Tuesday with a 21-point showing to lead his team.
Jon Heddings added 17 points, but Nic Smith and Riley Cooper each had off-nights and combined for only 11 points.
The Dragons will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Watertown.
