Friday Night Boys Hoops Recap: Balanced Scoring Leads Blue Devils Over RBS

Jackson County 70, Red Boiling Springs 36

The Jackson County Blue Devils got a balanced scoring effort with three players in double figures, as they took down Red Boiling Springs 70-36.

Jordon Arroyo and Ramon Cuevas each scored 14 points, while Eli Burris added 13.

Chris Pigg finished just shy of double-figure scoring with nine points.

The Blue Devils will host their next contest on Tuesday against Pickett County.

Clay County 69, Pickett County 50

The Clay County Bulldogs won a battle of undefeated district records on Friday in their 19-point win over Pickett County.

Grant Strong notched a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds, while Gunnar Silk added 13 points.

Zach Amonett led the Bobcats with 27 points.

Pickett County will travel to Jackson County on Tuesday, while Clay County will take on Trousdale County on Saturday.

Trousdale County 61, Clarkrange 38

The Buffaloes took a tough loss on Friday by a final score 61-38 against Trousdale County.

Kris Beaty led the effort for Clarkrange with seven points, and Jay Tinch added six points.

The Buffaloes will take on Gordonsville on the road on Tuesday.

Cumberland County 71, Stone Memorial 62

The Jets avenged an earlier loss to Stone with a nine-point win over the Panthers on Friday.

Kole Torres led all scorers with 26 points for the Jets. Jackson Inman scored 18 points, and Adam Floyd added 16 points.

Will Hecker led Stone with 16 points, and Zach Boyd scored 10 points of his own.

The Jets will take on Grundy County on Tuesday, while the Panthers will hit the road to take on Rhea County.

Cannon County 55, DeKalb County 51

The DeKalb County trailed by 11 points heading to the fourth quarter, and though they managed to cut into the deficit, they were unable to make the comeback as they fell to Cannon County by a final score of 55-51.

Evan Jones led the Tigers with 14 points, while Jordan Young added 12. Elishah Ramos was the only other Tiger in double figures, as he finished with 10 points.

The Tigers will face Sequatchie County on Saturday.

Upperman 59, Watertown 45

The Upperman Bees took home a district win over Watertown on Friday by a final score of 59-45.

Alex Rush put together a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Collin Gore led the team in scoring with 20 points. Jace McWilliams added 11 points.

The Bees will face Smith County on Saturday.

White County 70, Coffee County 55

The Warriors got off to a slow start on Friday, but once they built up steam, they never looked back in a 70-55 win over Coffee County on Friday.

Grant Slatten continued his strong senior season with a game-high 28 points, and Kade Clark added 15 points.

Daniel Gentry put together his best game of the season with nine points.

The Warriors will face Warren County next Tuesday.

York Institute 79, Smith County 78

The Dragons held on late for a one-point win over the Owls on the road.

Riley Cooper led all with 23 points, while fellow post Jon Heddings added 19 points. Bryson Bilbrey and Blaine York each scored 13 points of their own.

The Dragons will host Macon County on Tuesday.
