Four Eaglettes Hit Double Figures In Semi Final Win

The Van Buren County girls basketball saw a balanced night scoring offensively in their 68 to 45, District  Five, Single A semi final tournament victory over South Pittsburg, Friday night.

Van Buren County’s Emily Allen led all scorers with 14 points. Layla Bouldin added 13 while Emma Scoggins followed closely with 12 points. Riley Scoggins closed out the double digit scorers with 11 points. Chloe Hillis also contributed eight points on the night.

The Eaglettes saw eight shots fall from behind the three point line against host South Pittsburg. Van Buren County had an off night from the free throw line as they only hit 12 of their 21 free throw attempts.
