Warriors Lose Close Game To CAK

The White County Warriors (2-1) lost a nail-biter to Christian Academy of Knoxville by a final score of 32-29.

The rushing attack proved fruitful for the Warriors, as they totaled 181 yards rushing on the night. Will Griggs led the way with 15 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Sedrick Leftwich added 83 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Leftwich also tallied 128 passing yards on 8-12 passing with a touchdown, and Cade Clark added a team-high four grabs for 31 yards. Tony Lewis had a 52-yard catch, and Griggs added 38 yards on three grabs.

Noah Hamilton also saw time at quarterback for White Co., and he finished 3-7 passing with 33 yards and an interception.

White County will host Cookeville next week at 7 P.M. in week four.
