Clay Co. Routs Monroe Co. 33-0

Quarterback Jake Ashlock accounted for three total touchdowns in Clay County’s 33-0 route over Monroe County (KY).

Through the air, the 6’4” Ashlock completed 6-11 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Ashlock also added two touchdowns on 10 carries for 48 yards.

Clay County rushed the ball 36 times for 293 yards and three total touchdowns, and averaged over eight yards per rush attempt. Carson Sharp rushed for 113 yards on eight carries, while Alec Karr racked up 59 yards on 5 attempts. Will Ogletree rushed nine time for 43 yards.

Sharp recovered two fumbles on the night for Clay County, returning one for a touchdown. Jimmy Burchett also hauled in an interception for the Bulldogs.

Next week, Clay County continues their two-game stand against Kentucky teams as they host Clinton County (KY).
