Football: Blue Devils Lose Close Game To Cascade

Cascade (2-4) defeated Jackson County (2-5) 10-0 in a defensive struggle Friday night in Gainesboro.

Jackson County’s Eli Burris struggled passing against Cascade completing 9-22 passes for 92  yards and an interception.

Jacob Calvin caught three passes for 35 yards for the Blue Devils. Wid Robbins hauled in two passes for 30 yards. Justin Davis had 15 yards receiving yards on two catches.

Burris carried the ball two times for negative six yards.  Robbins compiled 18 yards on 13 carries.

Cascade’s Seth Counts scored from 40 yards out halfway through the first quarter to put the Champions up 7-0.

Counts carried the ball 15 times for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson County looks to get back on the winning track next week against Pickett County at home.
