Football: Bees Down York In Jamestown

Upperman (6-1) rolled up 418 yards of total offense in their 35-0 victory over York (2-5).

Senior quarterback Donoven McCallister had his best night of the season through the air. He completed 12-17 passes for 219 yards and four touchdowns.

Six different Upperman receivers hauled in passes from McCallister. Daniel Metzgar caught three passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Carter Shanks hauled in three passes for 59 yards and Ty Dutchess nabbed three passes for 58 yards and a score. Thomas Ensor also caught one pass for a nine yard touchdown.

McCallister also led Upperman in rushing with 106 yards on eight carries and a touchdown.

Eli Randolph ran the ball five time for 28 yards. Zach Stewart, who was ejected in the second half, had 6 carries for 19 yards.

Defensively Upperman limited York to 119 yards of total offense.

Caden Stover carried the ball four times for 37 yards. Zach Gibson added 17 yards on three carries. Quarterback Jonah Durham rushed for six times for 16 yards. Durham completed 3-4 passes for 26 yards.

Both Upperman and York are on byes next week. October 18th the Bees take on Grundy County in Baxter and York travels to Sequatchie County.
