Eaglettes Make Quick Work Of Richard Hardy

Van Buren County’s girls basketball team scored early and often in a 74 to 33 victory over Richard Hardy, Tuesday night in Spenser.

The Eaglettes scored 28 first quarter points and 24 point in the second to take a 52 to 21 lead into halftime.

Van Buren County hit 15 of their 20 free throw attempts and they connected on seven shots from behind the three point line.

Gabby Young scored a game high 18 points for Van Buren County. Emma Scoggins added 13 points and Layla Bouldin poured in 11 points of her own. In total nine Eaglettes scored at least one point in the game.

With the win Van Buren County improves their record to 16-6, and 3-1 in district play. The Eaglettes host South Pittsburg, Friday night, in Spencer.
