Monday night the Van Buren County Eaglettes closed out their regular season with a 62 to 45 victory over Sale Creek in, Chattanooga.
Van Buren County found themselves down by four at the end of the first quarter. The Eaglettes outscored Sale Creek 47 to 27 over the next three quarters to pull away.
Defensively, Van Buren County only gave up five third quarter points and six points in the third quarter to put a choke hold on the game. Offensively, the Eaglettes hit seven, threes and they hit seven of their eight attempts from the free throw line.
Emma Scoggins and Chloe Hillis each scored 11 points to lead the way for Van Buren County. Emily Allen added nine points while Gabby Young dropped in eight points of her own.
Van Buren County finishes the regular season with a record of 18-8, and 4-2 in district play. The Eaglettes will play again in their district tournament, Thursday at South Pittsburg, against South Pittsburg.
