Eagles Defeat Clarkrange Volleyball 3-0
The Van Buren Lady Eagles are in the District Tournament Championship Match after defeating the Clarkrange Lady Buffaloes by a final score of 3-0.
The opening set was a close bout, as each team traded shots that had the match tied 14. From that point on, it was all Van Buren and they closed the match on a 11-6 run to take the first set 25-20.
The Lady Eagles wasted little time getting started in the second set, and they found themselves up 13-4 at one point. Clarkrange fought back to the cut the lead down to 16-9, but it was too late as the Lady Eagles won the second set by a score of 25-16.
The final set remained close early, but Van Buren closed out the 3-0 sweep by a final score of 25-14 in the final set.
Van Buren will take on Coalfield at 5 P.M. CT. on Thursday.
