Dragons Football Playoffs Start At Loudon County
York (3-7, 2-3) @ Loudon County (10-0, 5-0)
The York Institute Dragons football program won last week against Cannon County 15-14 in Woodbury to punch their ticket into the playoffs.
They are rewarded with a match up against undefeated and Class 3A number three ranked Loudon County.
The Loudon County offense’s scores just over 41 points per game and their defense allows 7.6 points per game.
York’s lost seven players for the season due to injury but that hasn’t hampered Coach Derwin Wright’s pride over how his teams competed throughout the season.
“I was do proud of our coaching staff and our players,” coach Wright said. “I saw some guys having fun playing the game again.”
York and Loudon County are scheduled for a 7 P.M. kickoff in Loudon.
