Dragons Fall To Oneida 33-0

The York Institute Dragons (1-1) endured a setback in week two, falling to Oneida High School on the road by a final score of 33-0.

Oneida opened the scoring in the second scoring in the second quarter when Jacob Hamilton took the ball 33 yards to the house for a 6-0 lead. Kolby Morgan took over in the third quarter with a 90-yard kick-off return touchdown and an 82-yard run to the endzone to give Oneida a 19-0 lead.

Morgan scored his third touchdown in the final frame, this one on a 54-yard scamper to pay-dirt, and Jacob Warmoth capped off the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run to propel the game to its final score of 33-0.

Morgan led both teams in rushing with 171 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns. Hamilton added 44 yards on five carries.

Thomas Miller led the Dragons with 56 yards on 10 carries, as York managed just 157 yards of total offense for the game.

York Institute will be in action again on Sept. 6, as they will travel to Coalmont, Tennessee, to take on Grundy County High School.
