Dodgen’s Buzzer-Beater, Murray’s 19 Leads Warriorettes Over Coffee Co.

The White County Warriorettes turned to Gracie Dodgen when in need of a last-second shot, and she delivered by sending them to a 63-62 win over Coffee County on Friday.

The game got off to a good start for the Warriorettes, as they jumped out to a 37-29 lead going into the halftime break.

The third quarter was where Coffee began to execute offensively however, and they used a 22-11 scoring advantage to take a 51-48 lead into the final frame.

Both teams fought tooth-and-nail in the fourth and facing a 62-60 deficit with seconds left, White County turned to Dodgen for one last shot.

She delivered, as she knocked down a three at the horn to send White County to a 63-62 victory.

Mia Murray led the team in scoring, as she poured in her best game of the year with 19 points. Dodgen added 14 with her big shot, while Alaina Stiles scored 16 points.

White County will be back in action at Walker Valley on Dec. 9.
