The White County Warriorettes faced a stiff challenge from McMinn County on Friday, but came out with a win by a final score of 60-54.
After establishing a small lead after one quarter, White County struggled on offense in the second and was outscored by McMinn 22-12.
Both teams fought tooth and nail in the third quarter, and it was a fourth quarter that saw White County finish the win with a 18-9 final frame that led to the 60-54 win.
The highlight of the night came from Junior Gracie Dodgen, who scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Warriorettes to victory. Among those scores were a basket that gave Dodgen her 1,000th career point.
White County will take the court again on Nov.25 against Coffee County on the road.
