District 7-1A Tournament: Clarkrange Girls Upset by Gordonsville; Boys Eliminated by RBS

The season is over for both the Clarkrange Buffaloes and Lady Buffaloes after Monday night’s District 7-1A Tournament play-in games. The fifth-seeded Buffaloes were eliminated by fourth-seeded Red Boiling Springs, 64-33, while the fourth-seeded Lady Buffaloes were stunned by fifth-seeded Gordonsville, 56-52 in double overtime.

The Clarkrange girls (19-9) entered the game ranked seventh in the State, while Gordonsville (8-20) had not won a district game during the regular season. The win earns the Tigerettes their first Region Tournament berth since 2016.
