District 6-4A Tournament: Pioneers Lose to Coffee County; Top Seed Upset
The Warren County Pioneers may have missed a golden opportunity to capture the District 6-4A Tournament Championship, Tuesday night. The third-seeded Pioneers (10-16) put up a good fight, but fell short against second-seeded Coffee County, 50-44, in Tuesday’s semifinal. Meanwhile, the top-seeded Franklin County Rebels were upset by fourth-seeded Shelbyville, 57-53. Shelbyville (5-17) had won only one district game in the regular season, prior to their upset of the Rebels (17-10).
All four Championship and Consolation games are set and will be played Friday and Saturday at Shelbyville High School.
