Despite COVID, Clay Co. Volleyball Staying Focused On Their Season

Despite the re-emergence of Covid-19 at the onset of the 2021-22 school year, athletic teams have pressed forward, taking every precaution, both on and off the playing surface. Clay County High School has been no exception, and the Lady Bulldog volleyball team has taken the season one day, and one match, at a time. The Lady Bulldogs have put together a solid 12-6 record to date, with the final week of the regular season approaching. Seniors, Zoe Hayes and Lauren Weaver, have worked hard to help keep Coach Gary Strong’s full team focused, despite the COVID disctractions.

Coach Strong joined UC Sports Nation to discuss the pandemic’s effects on his program, his two senior leaders, and a tough, balanced district lineup that should make for an entertaining and interesting tournament in a couple of weeks.
