Tiger Football Wins Offensive Slugfest Over Tullahoma

The DeKalb County Tigers are moving on in the playoffs, as they defeated Tullahoma on Friday by a final score of 45-34.

After Tullahoma opened the scoring, the Tigers answered with a 15-yard scoring strike from Axel Aldino to Desmond Nokes to tie the game at 7.

DeKalb’s defense gave the offense the ball back right away by intercepting a pass, and the offense punched the ball into the endzone on another touchdown to Nokes, this one of the 70-yard variety.

Tullahoma tied the game at 14, but it wouldn’t stay tied for long as Aldino found Tyzaun Ladet for a 34-yard touchdown to retake the lead 21-14 heading into halftime.

The two teams traded scores out of the break, but DeKalb pulled away on a touchdown and a field goal late in the game to win by a final score of 45-34.

The Tigers will hit the road next week to take on Marshall County at 7 P.M.
