Defense Dominates As Lady Buffaloes Down Cumberland Co

Cumberland County Lady Jets basketball team found baskets hard to come by in a 63 to 28 loss Monday night in Fentress County to Clarkrange.

Defensively, the Lady Buffaloes surrendered no more that nine points in any quarter against the Lady Jets.

On the offense end of the floor Clarkrange bounced back from Saturdays poor shooting performance with seven made threes. Eight total Lady Buffaloes registered at least one point in the contest.

Clarkranges’ Chloe Howard led all scorers with 19 points and Kassie Monday added 11 points. Kaylie Monday and Lexi Pierce each knocked down two three points shots a piece.

The Lady Buffaloes will play their third game in four days against Gordonsville at 6 P.M. Tuesday night at Clarkrange.
