Cookeville’s Josh Heard on Holiday Basketball Tournament

During the winter break, many Upper Cumberland basketball teams are participating in tournaments around the holidays. The Cookeville Cavaliers boys basketball team are currently taking part in the Beech Holiday Tournament in Hendersonville. After Christmas, the Cavs are making the trip down to Florida to play in a tournament in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Josh Heard is a junior at Cookeville High School. The third year Cavalier has been on two previous Christmas trips, and he tells us why they can be helpful on and off the court. He also talks about the parts he looks forward to and how the trips motivate players before and after they take place.
