Clay County Takes Down Buffaloes On Road

The Clay County Bulldogs traveled to Clarkrange to take on the Clarkrange Buffaloes on Friday, and won by a final score of 66-43.

The second quarter was where the Buffaloes fell behind, as they only managed five points in the frame. That, combined with Clay’s success on offense, led to a 34-24 Bulldog lead at halftime.

After both teams traded shots in the third, the fourth was another offensive struggled for Clarkrange, as they only put up seven points. When the final buzzer sounded, Clay County walked away with a 66-43 victory.

Grant Strong led the Bulldogs with 23 points, while Mason Sharp added 17 points. Jake Ashlock contributed eight points and five rebounds.

For Clarkrange, Keith Whited led the way with 17 points, with Nate Hall adding 15.

Clay County’s next contest will be on Dec. 10, when they hit the road to take on Gordonsville. Clarkrange will be at Oneida on Dec. 9.
