Clay Co. Football Defeats Gordonsville At Home

The Clay County Bulldogs remained undefeated after their 35-6 win over Gordonsville at home.

The Bulldogs used their ground-and-pound attack to establish a lead early, and it lead to a dominant win. As a team, Clay Co. ran for 308 yards on 29 carries, good for a 10.6 yards-per-carry average.

Will Ogletree led the team with an astounding 192 yards on nine carries and one touchdown. Quarterback Jake Ashlock added 38 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns of his own.

Keaton Arms added 48 yards and a touchdown of his own in the win.

Through the air, Ashlock finished with 44 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 5-12 passing.

The Bulldogs will hit the road next week, when they travel to take on Westmoreland High School at 7 P.M.
