Clay Co. Boys Golf Finishes 3rd, Headed To Regional

The Clay County boys golf team finished third in Monday’s District 7A Tournament in Cookeville.

Zachary Schmucker led the team with a 92, while Jeffrey Spivey was close behind with a 93.

William Dodsen and Aden Smith both carded 97s, and Jacob Coffelt finished with a 115 to round out the team.

They will take the course next Thursday for the Regional Tournament.

The Clay County girls golf team also advanced to the Region Tournament next Thursday in Cookeville at the Golden Eagle Golf Club.

Kama Johnson finished the day with a 105 and fellow golfer Eliza Jenkins shot a 115, giving the Lady Bulldogs a combined score of 220 at the District 7A golf tournament in Cookeville.
