Clay Co Boys Basketball Completes Sweep Over Buffaloes

The Clay County boys basketball team followed their girls teams exciting forth quarter comeback win, with a 68 to 37 win over the Clarkrange boys team.

Clay County shot well from deep as the Bulldogs hit nine shots from behind the three point line compared to five made threes from Clarkrange.

The Bulldogs also owned a slight advantage at the free throw line where they hit nine of their seven free throw attempts compared to Clarkrange who hit four of their six shots from the line.

Clay County outscored the Buffaloes in all four of the quarters throughout the game.

Grant Strong scored a game high 18 points for Clay County. Mason Sharp and Gunnar Silk each added 10 points each as well.

Nate Hall scored a team high 14 points for Clarkrange and Gatlyn LaRue dropped in 10 points of his own.

Clay County breaks the 20 win mark on the season with the win as their record improves to 20-3, and 9-2 in district play. The Bulldogs will host Jackson County, Friday night in Celina.

Clarkrange falls to 5-20, 1-10 on the season. The Buffaloes host district rival Monterey Friday night in Fentress County.
