Cavaliers Take Two Games On Friday

The Cookeville finished with three wins and four losses over two days in Sevier County. Friday the Cavaliers took two games in East Tennessee, the first was a 9 to 1 victory over Sevier County. The Second game of the day was a 4 to 2 win over North Greene.

On the mound for the Cavaliers, in the first game against Sevier County, JP Key through a complete game with seven strikeouts.

The bats were also hot for Cookeville as Logan Sides and Jayden Davis each recorded three hits each. Davis and Jackson Kelly both accounted for three RBI’s each as well.

In the second game against North Greene the Cavaliers scored three first inning runs on their way to a 4 to 2 win.

Cookeville smacked up the North Greene pitching staff for 11 hits in the game. Jace Spivey finished with three hits. Jacob Stamps and Key added two hits each as well.

The Cavaliers are now 4-1 on the season and will play Baylor on Tuesday in Cookeville.
