Cavaliers Swim Team Wins Relay

Saturday afternoon the Cookeville Cavalier swim team competed in the Father Ryan Relay swim event at the Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville.

“We did not keep score,” Cookeville swim coach Ron Graves said. “This is a fun meet that is used to teach new swimmers how to figure out what events, heats, and lanes they need to be in so they do not miss their events.”

The Cavaliers won the T-Shirt relay in which four swimmers, swam a 25-yard leg of the race. Before the next swimmer could enter the water the T-Shirt had to be transferred from the current swimmer to the new swimmer.

The next meet for Cookeville takes place this Friday night in Lebanon against Wilson Central.
