Cavaliers Season Ends In Shootout At Hendersonville

The Cookeville Cavaliers fell to Hendersonville 59-42 Friday night in Sumner County.

Cookeville owned a 28-24 lead at halftime lead but could not over come a 21 point third quarter from Hendersonville to hold on.

Hendersonville’s Wing T offense racked up 464 yards and seven touchdowns, on the ground  against the Cavaliers.

Junior quarterback Stockton Owen completed 9 of 13 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Owen also rushed 16 time for 133 yards and two scores.

Senior running back Cameron Harris rushed 16 times for 119 yards and a score as well.

Jacob Stamps added eight carries for 63 yards and one trip to the end zone.

BJ Billen hauled in three catches for 51 yards and a touchdown and Brayden Nivens caught two passes for 59 yards and a score.

Hendersonville advances to take on Blackman next Friday night at home at 7 P.M.
