Cavaliers Basketball Grinds Out Win Against York

The Cookeville boys basketball team won a hard fought game against York, Tuesday night in Cookeville, 69 to 57.

York clung to a 31 to 30 halftime lead only to see it slip away in the second half. Cookeville outscored the Dragons 39 to 26 in the second half.

Cookeville’s Zack Hall led the Cavaliers in scoring with 20 points. Hall hit on fove shots from behind the arch. Colin Gilliam added 17 points for the Cavaliers and Kosta Bikakis finished with 10.

York’s Roger Meadows scored a game high 26 points. Meadows buried six, three’s against the Cavaliers defense.  Noah Smith dropped in 18 points also.

Cookeville will host East Hamilton Saturday night at 6 P.M.

The Dragons play again this Thursday night against Oneida, in Jamestown, at 6 P.M.
