Bulldogs’ Massive First-Quarter Leads To Victory Over Phoenix International

The Clay County Bulldogs outscored Phoenix International (OH) 35-4 in the first quarter and it was all she wrote from there, as they cruised to a 93-26 victory.

While Phoenix’s offense had slightly more success in the second, they were still outscored by a 27-10 count. This gave the Bulldogs a 62-14 lead heading into half.

The offense hit cruise control in the second and the defense held Phoenix to a mere 12 second-half points in the 93-26 win.

Alec Kerr led the team with 17 points, while John Hamilton added 16. Grant Strong scored 13 points of his own.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, as they will take on Central Magnet at 6:45 P.M. EST.
