Bulldogs Host Playoff Game For First Time In Over 20 Years

Clay County (7-3, 4-1) vs Sale Creek (4-6, 2-2)

The Clay County Bulldogs host their first home playoff game since 1998 this Friday night against Sale Creek.

Clay County started the season with five straight wins. The three losses for the Bulldogs have a combined total of 15 points.

In back to back weeks Clay County lost games to, 5A opponent White County and Region 4 Class 1A champion Monterey by three points.

Clay County and Sale Creek have two common opponents on the season. They both played Monterey and Pickett County. Both teams lost to Monterey and both teams beat Pickett County.

Sale Creek opened the 2019 season with a 35-12 loss to the Wildcats in Monterey. Clay County lost a week 10 matchup with the Wildcats 9-6 in overtime in a monsoon.

Clay County beat Pickett County 45-0 on October 4th in Celina while Sale Creek beat the Bobcats 47-8 on September 27th in Chattanooga.

Kickoff is set for 7 P.M. this Friday night in Celina.
