Bobcats Basketball Wins Big Against Wartburg

The Pickett County boys basketball team routed Wartburg 83 to 57 Tuesday night in Morgan County.

Zach Amonett poured in 31 points in the season opener for Pickett County. His brother Will scored nine.

John Parker Reagan added 17 points on the night. Luke Smith put up five points to kick off his senior season. Slayde Copeland, Ben Zachary, and Payne Burton all scored four points each.

Dylan Anderson hit a three in the fourth quarter for his lone points of the night. Mark Smith, Spencer Moody, John Zachary all three scored two points.

The Bobcats connected on 10 three’s and knocked down 19 of 24 free throws.

Pickett County plays again this Saturday against DeKalb County in Smithville at 4 P.M.
