Blue Devils Defeat Pickett Co. At Home

The Jackson County Blue Devils (3-5) earned their third win of the season with a 41-7 victory over the Pickett County Bobcats (1-7).

Quarterback Eli Burris led the way for Jackson, as he threw three touchdowns on offense. Jacob Calvin, Gage Clark and Justin Davis each recorded a touchdown catch for the Blue Devils.

Clark added a pick-six on defense to seal the deal.

On Pickett’s side, Quarterback Luke Smith led the team with 68 rushing yards, 61 passing yards and a rushing touchdown for the only score of the night for the Bobcats.

Mark Smith added 43 rushing yards of his own, while Dylan Anderson compiled 34 yards on the ground. Smith also led the team with 20 receiving yards.

Pickett County will have their bye week next week, before taking on Red Boiling Springs on the road. Jackson County will host Watertown next week.
