Blue Devil Football Downs Red Boiling Springs
The Jackson County Blue Devils (2-2) defeated Red Boiling Springs on Friday by a score of 48-12.
The Blue Devils found success through the air the entire night, and it started when Quarterback Eli Burris found Justin Davis for a 63-yard touchdown. Burris added another touchdown pass in the first quarter, this one to Gage Clark from 31-yards-out to give Jackson Co. a 13-0 lead.
Wid Robbins scored the next two touchdowns for Jackson County, as he caught a 20-yard touchdown pass and returned a fumble recovery 40 yards to put the Blue Devils up 27-6.
Burris connected with Davis one more time on a 26-yard touchdown pass for his final scoring throw of the night, and he added a rushing touchdown late in the second quarter to top off a big win for Jackson County, as they defeated Red Boiling Springs by a final score of 48-12.
Overall. Burris completed nine of his 10 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns. Davis and Clark each had three catches for 99 yards apiece and two touchdowns to lead the offensive attack.
The Blue Devils will face East Robertson High School at home next week at 7 P.M.
