Big Third Quarter Propels Lady Bees To Win Over Pigeon Forge

The Upperman Lady Bees won their home opener on Thursday, defeating Pigeon Forge by a final score of 77-43.

The decisive stretch of the game happened in the third quarter, as the Lady Bees held a 45-21 lead and proceeded to go on a 30-8 run to lead them to victory.

Torie Brooks led the way in the win, as she tallied 27 points on the strength of 7-9 three-point shooting. Brooks was also a force on the defensive end, as she tallied five steals for the Lady Bees.

Reagan Hurst added 18 points and four rebounds, and Abigail Johnson finished with 10 points and four rebounds of her own. Brooklyn Couch tallied eight points and led the team with five assists.

The Lady Bees will be back in action at Forrest on Saturday.
