Bee’s Show Improvement On The Links

Upperman’s boys golf team shaved off 46 strokes, Tuesday afternoon at the Golden Eagle Country Club, from their first match last week in Crossville.

“It’s an improvement,” Upperman golf coach Joey Jones said. “That is what what we try and do each time we come out.”

Tuesday the Bee’s top four golfers all shot in the mid 80’s, to finish the day with a total of 338. Drew Ramsey led the Upperman golfers with a low round of 83. Briaden Reich and Cason Mayberry each fired in 84’s. Braden Perry rounded out the boy’s scores with an 87.

The Upperman girls competed in their first contest Tuesday at the Golden Eagle as well. Sydney Rogers closed out the day with a 101 and teammate Emaline Anderson finished with a 106.

“This was the first time my girls have played this season,” Jones said. “We do not have to be hot right now. We’ll keep working.”
