Bees Football Wins Top 10 Showdown At Oneida

The Upperman Bees (5-1) never trailed Friday night in Scott County defeating the Oneida Indians 25-6.

After a scoreless first quarter, Upperman quarterback Donoven McCallister scored from eight yards out with 10:56 to play in the second. The Bees took a 7-0 lead into halftime.

Upperman tacked on a field goal with a little over two minutes to play in the third quarter. Trey Krolick’s 20 yard field goal attempt gave the Bees a 10-0 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Oneida made it a one possession game with four minutes to go in the fourth quarter. The Indians missed the following point after touchdown which left them with a 10-6 deficit.

McCallister iced the game away with a 43 yard touchdown run with 1:29 to play in regulation.

Uppermans Carter Shanks returned an interception for a touchdown with 58 seconds to go in the game.

Upperman rushed for 199 yards on the night. McCallister led the way rushing again  for Upperman with 15 carries for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Upperman continues their three game road stand next week at York Institute.
