Bee’s Football Rebounds Over Cannon Co

After a slow first half in Woodbury, the Upperman Bees defeated Cannon County 39-6, behind three Donoven McCallister touchdowns. McCallister scored form six, three, and 28 yards out.

McCallister rushed 17 times for 152 yards. McCallister had an off night through the air completing only 4-13 passes for 24 yards.

Sophomore running back Ty Dutchess carried the ball 13 times for 113 yards and a score. Dutchesses score came form 33 yards out with 3:25 to play in the fourth quarter.

Upperman out gained Cannon County in total offense 352 to 167. Upperman’s defense kept the Lions Wing T offense in check for most of the contest.

Upperman’s Carter Shanks racked up six tackles against Cannon County. Nick Stacey followed shanks with four tackles.

Upperman goes on the road for the second week in a row to face 3-1 Oneida. The Indians were ranked eights last week in the Associated Press Top 10 Class 2A.
