Van Buren County’s girls basketball team picked up a 46 to 41 victory over Grundy County Thursday night in Spenser.
All nine of the Eaglettes scored at least one point throughout the contest. Van Buren County’s Layla Bouldin led all scores in the contest with 12 points.
Emma Scoggins added 10 points of her own for Van Buren County.
The Eaglettes continued their upward trend at the free throw line as the hit 16 of their 29 free throw attempts compared to Grundy County who finished three of eight from the line.
Thursday’s victory improves Van Burens record to 10-6, 1-1 on the season. The Eaglettes will play again Saturday night against Monterey in a big non conference matchup.
