It doesn’t get much more ‘Glue Guy’ then Jacob Grissom.
A freshman baseball player at Van Buren he probably wasn’t supposed to see much playing time, at least at the varsity level.
When the Eagles senior first baseman stepped away from the team however, Grissom was the one called on.
Playing a position that touches the baseball nearly every at bat, that is a big ask of a freshman. His teammates have stepped up to help him though, and he has become the ‘glue’ that they needed to have a pretty decent year.
Just two games under .500 in fact at 5-7.
