Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd announced the arrest of three suspects—two of them juveniles—linked to a series of armed car burglaries and stolen firearms, warning that their “poor life choices” could lead them down a dangerous path.
The suspects were identified as Abdel Cruz, 15, Angel Sosa, 16, and Deyvin Ramirez, 20. According to investigators, the group broke into vehicles, stealing guns and credit cards. Sheriff Judd said Ramirez, who is already on probation for prior felonies, allegedly used some of the stolen cards at a local Wendy’s, helping detectives track down the suspects.
Deputies later recovered one of the stolen firearms at Sosa’s home.
“Today’s suspects of interest are already making poor choices in their young lives,” Judd said. “We hope they’ll make better choices before they end up going to prison one day.”
Judd also urged gun owners to be more vigilant about securing their weapons. “Take your guns in the house at night,” he advised. “Quit leaving them in the car or goober smoochers just like this are going to steal them.”
A fourth person, Enoch Ramirez, was also detained during the investigation for being in the country illegally, though officials confirmed he was not involved in the burglaries.
